Hobby

It used to be Podcast, but now...

Hello. You’re listening to „ Let’s Speak English”.
In this episode I’m going to teach you how to talk about your hobbies and interests.
There are three most useful topics: sports, books and films. I’m going to use all of them to help you learn how to express your interests.
Let’ s start. Shall we?
The simplest structure you can use to talk about your interests is ‘like’. You can say:
 I like playing football.
I like reading books.
I like watching films.
Instead of ‘like’ you can use ‘enjoy’. It would mean that ,for instance playing football makes you really happy.
I enjoy reading books.
I enjoy watching films.
For emphasis you can add ‘a lot’ at the end of each sentence:
I like playing football a lot.
I enjoy watching films a lot.
Remember about –ing ending.
If you want to say that you like something you can also use ‘be interested in’.
I’m interested in running.
I’m interested in reading fantasy books.
I’m interested in comedy.
And what are you interested in? What do you like?
That’s it for now. You can stay with me and listen to some examples from real world.
